ABOUT RACHEL

RACHEL, POTTY TRAINING CONSULTANT

When I decided to potty train my son, I didn’t know where to start. The process was daunting. My daughter was born just a few months before, and I felt like I had no time or capacity to research potty training methods myself. How could I find time to read multiple books when I barely had time to shower? But I knew my son was ready, so I took the plunge.

As a former CrossFit Games athlete and fitness enthusiast, I believe in the power of creating a plan and executing it. So, I took the same approach when potty training my son. But as any parent knows, kids react and behave in unpredictable ways, and a toddler can throw a wrench in even the most well-researched plan.

While I was successful in potty training my son, throughout the process I often found myself wishing I had an expert to reach out to for personalized advice and help with all those questions that pop up – namely, “Am I doing any of this right?”

I became a Certified Potty Training Consultant to help other parents and caretakers transition their little ones out of diapers in a way tailored to their individual circumstances and needs. I save their precious spare time, and shoulder some of the mental load of parenting, by removing the need to fish for the right potty-training plan in a sea of information.

Think of me as a personal trainer for potty training. We will work together to create a plan tailored to your family’s specific needs and lifestyle demands, rather than try to tailor your life to fit a one-size-fits-all approach to potty training.

I love to problem solve, and I’m passionate about helping parents by providing a judgement-free space to ask tough, and sometimes silly or gross, questions. I am here to provide a judgment free space around potty-training.

Rachel was born and raised in Massachusetts and received a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York in 2010. She married her husband, Andrew, in 2017 while living in Washington, DC, before moving to Burlington, ON in 2019. They have two beautiful children named Fredrick and Clara.
